December 16, 2002Craig's FAR Update 2002/12/16:It is quarter to four in the afternoon, 1 degree above freezing and it is raining. It rained all weekend and while the snow did sometimes descend down to near the Bear's Den, it appeared at times be very high. There was some cause for hope this morning as a centimeter or two of snow fell down here at the house and at least made things white again. But the rain returned. Even up at the snow plot the ski hill is only reporting a 45 cm base, which is truly sad. (Based on morning fax - I notice they are now reporting 80 cm on the web site - still sad, but better). |
