It has been quite cold since last Friday, although the snow has apparently been good as more parts of the mountain were opened. I did not get out until this afternoon and discovered that a blissful day like last Friday ruins you for several days. Objectively the conditions were excellent, but some how it all seemed pale in comparison. There was still some soft and even untracked in Fish and Easter and off of the top of the Face Lift. This snow had compacted considerably since Friday and was correspondingly heavier, but still quite nice. Several folks mentioned that they, like me, found the chopped stuff a little difficult for some reason.
All in all it is still very nice and there is snow forecast for tonight with milder temperatures for tomorrow.
