I
was born in Calgary in 1987, however before I could gain any real
memories of the city, my family packed up and moved to Fernie BC
which I consider my “hometown”. When I was old enough, I
went to one of the three Elementary Schools in the city where,
although I had a rocky start, I quickly excelled at all subjects
(except Art).
After I graduated from the Elementary School, I went to Fernie Secondary
School where I received numerous awards for my academic endeavors.
During my studies at the school I became a member and
eventually president of the “New-age Electronic Research and
Development Society”.
In the two years I attended the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Alberta,
my favourite activity was creating a machine for a competetion in one of my
classes. The goal had been to create a machine to travel the length of the course
and drop rubber stoppers on targets in various arrangements. While my group
did not win, if was a throughly enjoyable experience.
Although I have completed my second year of studies, I have decided not to return to school in
the fall but rather seeking a meaningful and challenging position in
the business workforce in order to link the business world with the
theory I have learned thus far.
My business experience includes employment at a local ski resort where I
had responsibilities associated with ski lift operations. In
addition, I gained valuable experience and operations responsibility
within the fast food industry during my high school years. Finally,
as president of the computer oriented association during high school,
which was mentioned above, I learned some fundamentals of skills
concerning organization and management.
I would be pleased to meet with anyone at their convenience to discuss my
background and interests in greater detail and to address any
questions that you may have concerning my application for any
position I am qualified for.
